In Brussels, Belgium, many leaders of the western world gathered for a NATO conference that was also an unveiling for the memorials of Article 5 and the Berlin Wall. Aside from this memorial, President Trump wanted to deliver a speech on the importance of a united front on terrorism and take a moment of silence for those killed in the Manchester attack. But what most stunned members of NATO were his clear demands right in front of them to pay up what they owe to the alliance.

At one point during the election process President Trump stated that he believed that NATO was obsolete. Now that there have been changes in contributions and fighting terrorism in the alliance, he now believes that NATO is in fact very important and not obsolete.
